so the Bad Boy is out in the back yard and work has started on this mean machine.

You can see how rusty the rear frame was. As it going to be changed into a café racer this isn’t a problem, because you just cut it off as shown in this picture

Time to add a new swingarm

undefined

Looking good :) The swingarm is off a Yamaha XJR1300

this has temporarily been put into place

You can see that the rear shocks are too slanted. My partner says he thinks that the tyre will hit the rear loop when it is welded into place so he's thinking about moving the mounting points forward by 2 inches and also to the inside of the swingarm so that the shocks are more in-line with the frame rails, at the moment they look like they are bending out wards

I have to say i think he knows what he's talking about but if you would like to add or give any advice please feel free.

i had alittle chuckle to myself when i saw the bike with the swingarm in place as normally both tyres sit on the floor. With this, the back tyre was up in the air... This Bad boy needs a name. I was thinking Gump after forest with the calipers but my partner just rang and said Arnies a good name..... Any other suggestions ???
